“I'd been following Phoebe's fitness journey for a while and was in the process of trying to rediscover mine after having my son in 2022. I had really wanted to do a marathon and got a place for LDN in 2025 but I kept being plagued with injuries. Realistically, though I could mentally push through longer distances in training runs, my body was very different to pre pregnancy and after I deferred my 2025 place to 2026 (due to another injury) I decided I needed to build more strength.
Enter Phoebe and the Fitness Huns, I joined fairly swiftly after she got her PT cert because I felt she really knew the journey of building fitness without a sporty background but also because she was building an authentically inclusive, non judgemental training space.
My focus was getting in the gym solidly to rehab a calf strain, to get back to a size more similar to post partum (so I wasn't putting as much weight through my joints) and to feel as 'first marathon ready' as possible.
The first 10 wks was 3x strength sessions gyming with 2x runs a week (of which they needed to be on an elliptical). We worked on nutrition together and through that time I lost 5kg. By the time I hit month 4 we flipped the training to 3 runs a week (when my body felt more conditioned) and 2 strength training sessions a week.
Now marathon training has begun I'm genuinely feeling better and stronger than ever in my body and also my confidence. There had been times in my pregnancy and post partum that I felt a complete alien to myself and it's great to look in the mirror again and be like 'THERE SHE IS!'“

‘I have really enjoyed working with Phoebe over the last 4 months, it felt less like a professional relationship but more like working with a close friend (let’s be honest how many of your friends regularly see you in you pants and know all the details of your cycle cravings or mental breakdowns). I had previous gym/nutrition experience but what I needed was the accountability to actually commit to it regularly. The absence of obscene calorie deficits combined with an acceptance of life events has made something that felt I could stick to get the progress I wanted - no short but overly painful deficits here!’

These are all the incredible things I have learnt or come away with during my coaching with Phoebe:
1) overcome insecurities about the gym
2) work out independently within a gym in the weights section (I was a classes only gal before because big scary gym bros are obvs big and scary or so i thought)
3) reminded me I don't have to be perfect, i can do my best and that is enough
4) asking for help in the gym if I need assistance with a machine (I messaged Phoebe when this happened and she gave me advice and a reminded me that it's okay to ask for help)
5) actually using gym machines and feeling comfortable doing so
6) made it so much easier for me to consistently manage how I exercise, when I exercise, what I eat without restriction - I have been able to form a habit of thinking about what I am eating, how it will impact me for the day, how it will effect my recovery etc
7) I DON'T FEEL GUILT WHEN I EAT CHOCOLATE OR DRINK OR HAVE A NICE SWEET TREAT. Which is revolutionary to me, I have always got quite obsessed with calorie tracking when I am trying to achieve a certain body goal but Phoebe has helped me rewire how i think about food, and I can say with confidence I know longer care about the calories - I care about the protein and how I can make sure I am fuller for longer.
8) the whatsapp group is great, the girls are lovely - everyone’s incredibly supportive
9) the branding is perfection, I honestly am so impressed with the brand that Phoebe has created. It is gonna go far for sure

‘I’ve always talked about finding a fitness coach, but always found an excuse. Too expensive, too much pressure, too intimidating. But working with Phoebe has been anything but these drawbacks, and has been a transformative time whilst we’ve been working together. I’ve lost weight, but I’ve also lost a lot of preconceptions around food and barriers that I’ve had set around fitness for a long time. It’s no quick fix unlearning decades of unhealthy habits and toxic diet culture, but Phoebe has helped me start.
